2012

Oh herro der.  *licks paws, clean face* … long time no blog.

Well on this Saturday before a full moon on this month of firsts – I welcome you dear reader to my blog of adventures and pretty frilly things and music sharings.

Like this.  I had to shake my hair out and make the decision to really get into this blog post right now.   It’s like I’m having a conversation with you?  Right.  Like – voices in your head.  Crazy… that shit cray.

Yo.. check this out: The Ancient Kamitians’ Secret Magical Cream: Egyptian Magic

Yo for real yo, I don’t know why I’m writing like this but on the real… this stuff IS magic.  No lie dawg.  Ok, I’ll stop. The container has some very strange things written on it… I’ll share:

LIFE TAKES FROM THE TAKER AND GIVES TO THE GIVER
ABOVE ALL LET YOUR WORD BE YOUR BOND

Peace, divine love, perfect health, eternal wisdom and infinite blessings unto you, Precious One.  Ancient Kamitian (Egyptian) folklore recalls a miraculous skin cream, a secret of the great sages, mystics, magicians and healers, used to maintain radiant, healthy, smooth and glowing skin.

Lord Pharoah ImHotepAmonRa CEO & Founder of Egyptian Magic.

Also, they offer a full refund of all 30 of your dollars if you are disatisfied with the product. Am I?  No.  Why?

Ingredients:  Olive Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly and Propolis Extract.  (No synthetic preservatives or synthetic fragrance added)

Do I believe everything I read?  YES I probably do. Especially when it comes to this stuff.  Egpytian Magic helps me be healthier.  RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS.

CAN WEEEEEEE, TAKE IT BACK?

I love the youtuber.  I love changing the names of things pertaining to the ‘nets.  The NETS is like, errything now isn’t it?  Which reminds me… Here is something flippin amazing beyond words.

Once upon a time, Lindsay and I went to visit our friend John Warner at the Dogpatch Cafe in San Francisco and we were lucky enough to see Hard Drive Universe, assemblages by John Zaklikowski – which is truly like nothing I have ever seen.  It’s a terribly cheesy thing to say: it moved me but I mean… it did.  Love.  True love.  We four sat, John, Lindsay, a friend of John’s and me – and had some art filled conversation.  Which is always … relevant to my interests.  A perfect way to start off an unforgettable New Years Eve.

More information:

Hard Drive Universe is an exhibition of large scale assemblages constructed primarily from computer components (hard drives, circuit boards, memory modules) and other hi-tech devices.  Generally ranging in size from 6 ft by 6 ft to 8 ft by 9 ft, each assemblage is meticulously crafted and designed.  Thousands of additional objects are incorporated into the works, including hand tools, kitchen implements, lab equipment, art supplies, optical apparatus, vacuum tubes, surgical implements, etc.”

DOGPATCH CAFE  - go there.  Lots of love and magic and peace and positivity lives there.  Oh and coffee and art.  Or tea or juice…. or like, pastries and stuff.

Segue – speaking of cafe’s…

LE CAPRICE is a French bakery that just opened up on 14th St in Washington DC (coast to coast looking for coffee) … they make delicious buttery pastries.  That is all I want to say about that.

I’m actually getting really hungry as I’m typing this.. taking moments to go to youtube and distract myself with Somali videos.  Much like my sister – who actually shares many interests with me – I enjoy watching old Somali videos.

word up.  SOMALIA HA NOLATO .

THE CAT ON THE HAT.

Last few things I need to share… to get off my chest… to air out…

Do more yoga.  That’s for one thing.  If you’re in San Diego and need to do yoga on the beach, holler at my girl – my sisterwife – my Tarina Natasha T$ Honey.. er… my friend Tarin who is newly a yoga instructor.

And other thing… currently reading… long anticipated…

Recently have been also obsessed with Korean dramas… Namely: Boys over Flowers and City Hunter.  Obviously it’s just a prelude of things to come… like, watching more Korean shows.

So wholesome.  I dig it.  Relevant to my interests.

I want two things: to learn to speak Korean and to eat ramen noodles while watching City Hunter.  Right NOW. Well – can’t really learn how to speak Korean right now but I can start.

SOUP BREAK!!!

Thank you for this opportunity to share with you all my random musings.  Stay tuned for changes in the very near future, to this blog.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this long in my entire life.  Start to finish, hand down, with out a single doubt – this is THE funniest gif ever made.

I SAW THE SIGN

December 4, 2011 by admin

So long, way long, too long it has been since I showed my little corner of the innerwebs any love.  All that’s going to change starting now.

The first of the month posts.

The mash-ups, the time-lapses, the universe pictures… the randomness.  It’s all still here and there is more to come.  And possibly some new fun fresh things brewing for the new year – just over that horizon.  Okay enough cheesy talk.

I’m excited about a few things today (a lot of things most of the time)… I bought a Juiceman Jr from Bed Bath and Beyond… that 20% off coupon is the business. Thank you to my darling friend who shared that with me.  We’re now on a juicing kick together.  It’s amazing how good this stuff tastes.  Today’s juice contained: apple, papaya, ginger, mint and carrot.

So… besides all that… THIS:

BURFDAY POST

August 10, 2011 by admin

Today is my birthday.  CELEBRATE like it’s a world holiday.

I’m so happy and grateful for all the wonderful amazing loving people I’ve been blessed with in my life.  It’s a bit of a strange birthday because you know, I’ve only got one more year to be 20-anything but it’s also amazing because I look at this whole turning 30 thing like some vast empty untouched space for a whole new adventure.  Although I’ve been telling people I’m starting extreme sports soon – so that I can definitely live life to the fullest (possibly shortest) – I’m actually NOT going to do that.

Hey… check this out, I’ve been turned into a cupcake

That’s the awesome work of Sara Nabizadeh… Who is a damn fine lady.

Well, anyway, birthday birthday buuuuuuuuuuurthday.  SO many things I’m changing.  You know, starting with the man in the mirror.  AAAAH!! WHO IS THAT MAN IN MY MIRROR?  Just kidding.  But seriously.   Come on back Saturn, I’m ready for you.

Definitely my favorite song of the week:

CATS.

August 5, 2011 by admin

Ode to the cat lovers via Charles Baudelaire.

Translation by  - William Aggeler

The Cat

Come, superb cat, to my amorous heart;
Hold back the talons of your paws,
Let me gaze into your beautiful eyes
Of metal and agate.

When my fingers leisurely caress you,
Your head and your elastic back,
And when my hand tingles with the pleasure
Of feeling your electric body,

In spirit I see my woman. Her gaze
Like your own, amiable beast,
Profound and cold, cuts and cleaves like a dart,

And, from her head down to her feet,
A subtle air, a dangerous perfume
Floats about her dusky body.
